Little Mountain provides seasonal programs during the Spring and Summer breaks. These are intensive learning opportunities for students to continue their academic development. Intensive seasonal programs are offered at Pre-school, Kindergarten, Elementary, and Middle School levels.
The Spring and Summer breaks from school can be the ideal time for students to hone their English Language Arts skills. With a daily, rigorous, three-hour to five-hour program, students will immerse themselves in English literacy.
Kindergarten students will learn and apply phonics rules, daily reading, and writing skills practice. Young elementary students will explore the world around them through integrated literacy.
In the STEM/STEAM program, students will explore and present in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. This develops the transferable skills of student inquiry, thoughtful risks, problem-solving, and critical thinking for the real world.
English as a Second Language Learners (ESL/ELL) will build their fluency through a range of content-based readings and topics. Engaging units aim to support students in practicing and learning English beyond basic repetition and memorization. Focussing on improving their reading, writing, vocabulary, and grammar skills to meet greater English proficiency.
